Job Purpose: To work as part of a customer focused team, delivering an efficient and professional service to the communities of The Highland Council.

Assisting customers in accessing services via a multi-channel approach. Taking appropriate action to provide an effective service while seeking to maximise resolution at first point of contact, for customers wishing to Pay for, Request services or Report issues and supporting customers experiencing vulnerability. Assessing and referring immediate risk to the appropriate service or agency.

Responsible for assisting a diverse customer base in recording Births, Deaths, Still-births, Marriages and Civil Partnerships in accordance with the appropriate government legislation and set guidance laid down by the Registrar General for Scotland.

The post holder should have a keen interest in public service, a desire to enhance the Local Authority relationship with its customers and hold our reputation at the heart of service delivery.
