Job Purpose: To play a key role in the design and delivery of a flexible, person-centred employability service for clients which provides pathways into fair and sustainable work to meet emerging local labour market priorities and to tackle in-work poverty.

To oversee the design and delivery of a quality tailored employability offer which ensures clients receive the services they need to enable progression towards and in work. To manage the consistency and quality of the employability service offer and the client experience. To facilitate improved integration and alignment across both Council and partner services to promote an effective and efficient collaborative employability service.

Requirements

Degree level qualification and/or direct and significant experience of working in an employability service environment.

Given the nature of this job, the post holder will be required to make visits away from their normal base. A driving licence is highly desirable, but consideration would be given to the post holder making alternative arrangements as long as these meet the operational requirements of the Service.
