Job Description

Post Title: Employment Project Co-ordinator
Location: HQ Inverness
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Duration: Fixed Term for 23 Months
Salary: £41,423 - £44,899 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To contribute to the design and delivery of a flexible, person-centred employability service for clients which provides pathways into fair and sustainable work to meet emerging local labour market priorities and to tackle in-work poverty.

To work with employers to establish their current recruitment needs and future workforce aspirations and to co-ordinate support for the jobs and employability opportunities they have. This will include direct engagement with employers, Council services and partners to:

  • Identify and fill emergent employability and job opportunities.
  • To provide work experience and placements for young people and adults.

Allied to this work, the postholder will identify and encourage employers to contribute
through their knowledge of the labour market and expertise to help ensure that pupils leaving school know about the job opportunities available and how they can best secure these jobs.
To work with internal and external partners to ensure they are contributing to and
supporting this work with employers.

Requirements

Relevant Degree and/or relevant experience of employer engagement and 
working with clients who face barriers when securing/sustaining work.

Current driving licence/Access to personal transport.
