Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: The post holder will lead the provision of support and advice to services across the organisation on equality, inequality and human rights matters.  The post holder will also lead on equality and inequality reporting within the Council and the co-ordination and delivery of statutory reporting and monitoring of equality outcomes.

The post holder will work with third and public sector partners to improve equality outcomes across Highland and support wider engagement and involvement activity, with a specific focus on equality and inclusion.

The post will be part of the Community Support and Engagement team and will work across the whole Highland area.  The post holder will support the wider team on place planning, community planning and empowering communities to take forward and deliver local priorities; providing key advice on equality and inequality matters

Requirements

Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification
OR
Demonstrate evidence of degree level of educational ability through experience of working in an equivalent job role.
