Job Description
Post Title: Ferry Engineer (2 Posts)
Location: Corran Ferry, Ardgour, Fort William
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week (Corran Ferry crew work 5 days on 5 days off, 06:00 am - 10.00 pm, with 3 x 1-hour breaks during the shift)
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £31,361 - £34,324 p.a* (see below)
*Actual salary after consolidation for shift pattern is £48,274 - £52,835 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To maintain, as far as practical, in good working order all machinery, electrics, hydraulics, fire appliances, etc .
The safe operation of the vessel ensuring safety of passengers, crew and protection of the environment.
Engineers without Boatmasters licence will be considered.

Requirements
Must hold a valid Boat Master’s Licence Grade II, and/or Engineering STCW (International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) or equivalent.
