Location: Inverness/Hybrid
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term (12 Months)
Salary: £23,587 - £25,953 p.a.

Job Purpose: The Graduate Intern will support Project Manager with the set-up and delivery of the Workforce for the Future Portfolio, skills intelligence project lead. This project seeks to:

Provide sector skills intelligence and data which is place-based (Highland) appropriate

Prepare and present sector skills intelligence and data in such a manner that it is accessible to different stakeholders, be they pupils, parents, teachers etc.

Review local sector skills provision and help identify and design new work-based learning pathways

Identify and engage with appropriate sector representatives (via sector skills reference groups or equivalent) seeking sectoral and place based critical insight to this work.

These project outputs will inform other workstream activities across the Workforce for the Future Portfolio. There is therefore a high inter-dependency between this sector skills project and success across the wider portfolio.

Seven priority sectors have been identified: Tourism; Health and Social Care; Construction; Energy/Green Jobs; Digital; Food and Aquaculture sectors, and Arts and Culture.

Requirements

Degree Level with a preference for a skills or project management related degree.

No more than 2 years from graduation and must be currently unemployed or “underemployed.” Underemployed is defined as, being employed in a role that does not reflect the skills and knowledge acquired for the Degree level qualification held.
