Job Purpose: Housing Management Officers play an integral role in delivering the Highland Council’s housing service and are the single point of contact for our social housing tenants for all tenancy related matters. This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed housing service that strives for consistent improvement and development with a focus on excellent customer care.
Within this role you will work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary housing team and you will report to, and support, the area Principal Housing Officer.
This is a varied role with competing demands that requires a comprehensive and organised approach. Community interaction is fundamental to delivering housing services and there will be daily interaction whereby there are opportunities to influence and assist with creating positive and sustainable neighbourhoods. Housing Management Officers work with individuals with diverse needs and requirements to sustain their tenancies. They ensure, through the collection of rent, that the housing service can fund its delivery in line with legislative requirements and input from tenants and elected members.
A commitment to excellent performance and a drive to deliver for tenants and communities will provide the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge and experience within the social housing sector.

Requirements
Chartered Institute of Housing Level 3 Qualification or the willingness to undertake this within the first 12 months of employment.
