Job Purpose: To lead and manage the Council's Corporate ICT Technical Operations teams including day to day management of the teams and related ICT contracts. ICT Technical Operations includes key technical functions such as Networks, Telephony, End User Computing, Applications, Data Centre operations and Platform Support
To work across the Council to ensure effective provision of ICT for the Council to be able to deliver its services effectively. To work with the Strategic Lead - ICT for the provision of ICT for the Council and to work collaboratively to develop and implement ICT strategy and policy for the Council. To undertake regular performance monitoring of the ICT Technical Operations function, including regular service planning, audit compliance and financial governance. To ensure that the Council is meeting industry recognised standards for its ICT service delivery. To manage special, corporate and transformational projects as directed by the Strategic Lead - ICT. To manage the overall provision of a high quality, efficient and effective service to end users that delivers the desired customer service experience and improves customer satisfaction.
This role is very much outward facing with the responsibility for ensuring that a customer-focussed ICT service is delivered to all users of Council ICT.
