Post Title: Looked after Children's Clinical Nurse Specialist
Location: Various locations within the Highland
Hours: 37 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £41,608 - £50,702 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To provide additional support to the Looked After Children Health team in improving health outcomes for Looked After Children (LAC) and Young People through delivering flexible, high quality specialist support to children & young people, their carers and professionals.
- To help ensure that the physical and mental health needs of those who become Looked After are identified and addressed through appropriate services.
- To provide specialist health promotion/improvement advice to multi-agency partners and carers and families supporting children who are Looked After
- To provide a specialist and detailed health assessments for all children and young people who are Looked After identified following The Guidance for Health Assessments for Looked After Children (Scotland) 2014.
- To deliver suitable and appropriate evidence-based interventions for young people.
- To work across a continuum of need from prevention through to supporting young people with complex physical, emotional and sexual health need.

Requirements
- 1st level nurse registration
- Educated to degree level
- Relevant Continuing Professional Development
- Evidence of post registration qualification or experience in public health nursing and/or health promotion and protection
- Evidence of post registration qualification in sexual health (desirable)
