Job Purpose: To work as part of a Team led by the Roads Operations Manager where the Roads Inspector’s role is to assist with the inspection and management of the road network assets throughout Sutherland.

The Highland Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to become a Roads Inspector in their Roads Team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a small team that is committed to delivering the lifeline services of road maintenance and winter maintenance to the Communities in their Area. The team are responsible for ensuring the Highland Council acting as Roads Authority fulfils its responsibility for all aspects of road safety.

Requirements

Valid driving licence

Experience of working in a roads and bridges environment or other roads related activities. 

Good IT skills and ability to make best use of ICT
