SENIOR ELECTORAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Salary - £28,373.07 - £32,972.58 per annum

Applications are invited for this full-time permanent post, based at the Board’s headquarters in Moray House, 16-18 Bank Street, Inverness.

The Highland and Western Isles Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.

We provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both Highland and Western Isles areas in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) Lists, and Registers of Electors.

The job purpose is to undertake a wide range of administrative duties to support the electoral registration team based in Inverness, reporting to the Electoral Team Leader.

You must have the ability to work to strict deadlines, adapt to constant changes and conflicting demands. You will be expected to supervise staff, ensuring that high quality on the job training/coaching is provided. Electoral registration work is carried out between offices based in Inverness, Wick and Stornoway and you must be able to work remotely as part of a team to ensure that work is being allocated and completed, following set rotas and procedures. A knowledge of electoral legislation would be advantageous.

You will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure check.
