Permanence & Assessment Social Workers
We’re looking for passionate and experienced social workers to join our team, playing a vital role in shaping brighter futures for children and young people in Highland Council’s care.

In this rewarding role, you will undertake high-quality assessments, including Child’s Adoption and Permanence Reports (CAPRs) and supporting documentation, for children and young people who may be living across Scotland. Your work will directly contribute to securing safe, stable, and loving “forever families.”

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term opportunity, offered on a homeworking basis. You’ll be part of a committed and supportive team, making a real difference by helping Highland’s children and young people achieve the permanence they deserve.

Job Purpose: Provide a Social Work Service to children, families, and other carers. This will include services to looked after children and those on the Child Protection Register.

Provide such services as required as a member of a local Family Team, in the context of the Highland Practice Model. The Family Team is multi-disciplinary and provides universal and additional health, social care, and child protection services.

Please APPLY ONLINE. If you are unable to apply online and you wish to request an offline application pack, please contact HR Transactions by email: recruitment.enquiries@highland.gov.uk.

Shortlisted applicants will normally be contacted by email, unless otherwise stated. Please check your emails regularly, including your junk/spam folder.
