Job Description
Post Title: Social Worker (Kinship) - 2 vacancies
Location: One post based in Inverness and one post based in Caithness/Sutherland
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term for 23 months
Salary: £42,879 - £46,410 p.a.

Job Purpose: To join a new team providing support to Kinship carers and children placed with them. Developing expertise around Kinship care, undertaking assessments and providing advice and guidance to the allocated Social Worker for children who are placed with Kinship carers.

Requirements
You should be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council on the ‘Social Worker’ part of the Register and as such hold a qualification that is recognised by the SSSC as being equivalent to the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW).
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
Experience of Looked After systems and Children’s Hearings. Knowledge of Law, Regulation and Guidance about Kinship care.
