An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker to join the Inverness West Urban Social Work team to share your expertise as an experienced practitioner and directly assist the Social Work Team Manager with their duties and responsibilities.
This permanent, full-time position of 36 hours per week will enable the right candidate an opportunity to be part of a fully integrated, busy team which provides a multi-disciplinary approach to assessing the needs of individuals, their families and carers. Applicants should be a qualified Social Worker and have a minimum of two years post qualifying experience working in Adult Care. You should also be able to demonstrate a strong track record in collaborative working.
Working alongside the Social Work Team Manager, you will provide leadership, advice, support and guidance to social workers and social care staff within your District Team in order to meet professional standards and service objectives as set out within the terms of legislation, policy, guidance and delegated responsibilities.
Applicants must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council on the ‘Social Worker’ part of the Register and also hold a qualification that is recognised by the SSSC as being equivalent to the Diploma in Social Work (DipSW); this is an essential requirement.
