Job Description

We have recently completed a review of our Midlothian Sport & Leisure Service structure and are ready to move forward with our service which;

  • Meets the needs of Midlothian residents to enable them to be physically active, providing a positive & safe environment & varied programme of opportunities to be active.
  • Meets the needs of Sport & Leisure staff, providing them with a positive working environment, feeling valued, supported and with opportunities to develop.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated team player to join our team as Facilities Officer.

KNOWLEDGE:

Essential

  • Educated to HNC or equivalent degree level in a relevant discipline.

Desirable

  • Membership of a relevant professional organisation.
  • Nationally recognised governing body qualification.
  • IOSH Qualification

Work and other experience

Essential

  • Minimum of two years’ experience of working within sport, health, leisure and or recreation industry.
  • Ability to identify good practice and promote the role of inclusive & accessible sport and activity facilities.
  • Experience in management of projects in areas of sport, health, leisure and or recreation industry.
  •  Experience of working with and influencing partners.

Based on 18 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £14,492.48 per annum. 

Responsibilities

Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check will be met by you.
