Midlothian Council, Neighbourhood services is currently looking for a suitably experienced and qualified HGV sweeper operative to join our team. Successful candidates will hold a Category C licence, valid drivers CPC and have experience in the operation of road sweeping.
A self led role working to a works programme generally, the individual however should be adaptable and reactive to change. Job holders could be utilised as and when required to support other areas of the service to include the operation of RCV’s (to include leading the team delivering the run), working within the wider neighbourhood services team delivering betterment and improvement in our communities.
KNOWLEDGE
- Jobholders must hold an LGV Category C Driving License and a current drivers CPC qualification.
- Qualification of competency of use of HGV classification Road sweeper (or demonstratable extensive experience)
- Experience of leading a team in the delivery of refuse collection

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £28,984.95 per annum.
Requirements
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard.
