Job Description

To provide a range of services within the complex of Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre and on occasions as required at the outdoor pavilion, Astro pitch in Lossiemouth.

Requirements

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act, it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. The successful candidate will therefore be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.

Responsibilities

Building security

Preparing rooms / areas for use by groups

Monitoring, reporting on and carrying out cleaning / maintenance duties

Ensuring that Health and Safety standards are complied with

Undertaking general duties

The Individual

Experience of care and maintenance of property and cleaning

Ability to record information accurately

Numerate

Aptitude for tidiness

Attention to detail

Flexible approach to work

Ability to prioritise tasks/action

Ability to follow routines and instructions

Ability to work unsupervised

Able to carry out handyman/basic maintenance duties

Active listening and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with members of the public and staff

Willingness to accept direction/delegation

Ability to move furniture and equipment in conjunction with moving and handling regulations

Ability to bend and stretch for wet and dry cleaning

Must be flexible to meet the needs/demands of the service

 

Temporary Post until 31 December 2026

 

Closing Date:  17th July 2026

Starting Salary: £26,281 (pro rata)

£13.66 per hour

11.25 hours per week
