Job Description

To undertake, either individually or as part of a team, all duties involved in the burial of the dead

Responsibilities

Burial of the Dead

Maintenance of the Grounds and their Surrounds

Giving Directions to Members of the Public

Use of Powered Hand Tools and Plant

Experience of mechanical excavator or willingness to undertake certified training

An awareness of Health & Safety

Numerate and literate as accurate record keeping is required

Willingness to undertake Cemetery Operatives Training Schemes

Effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team

Full current driving licence

Ability to communicate politely and with sensitivity to members of the public

Ability to work in all weather conditions to carry out heavy manual work
