Job Description

To carry out the duties of an advanced craft Plumber and to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective maintenance service.

Responsibilities

To undertake craft duties as directed by the Plumbing & Heating Co-ordinator/Supervisor To provide out of hours cover when required. To undertake training as required. To comply with all Health and Safety and security procedures and guidelines. To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably expected from time to time.

The Individual

Time Served Plumber or 3rd / 4th year apprentice considered with full working knowledge of domestic plumbing & heating systems Working knowledge and suitably qualified To maintain, service and install gas central heating boilers 3rd / 4th year apprentice SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent Current SNIJIB/Gas Safe Register Grading Card CCN1, including CPA1 Certification* CENWAT, CKR1 & HTR1 Certification Capable of working on own or as a team member Self-confident and self-motivated Full driving licence Ability to undertake daily checks on vehicle and record information accurately Good all round knowledge of a range of domestic plumbing & heating systems. Ability to follow routines and instructions Able to communicate effectively with both members of the public and colleagues Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner Ability to deliver high levels of customer care. Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of effective team working.
