Job Description
• To support and develop efficient, inclusive educational services for children and young people with English as an Additional Language in early learning and child care centres, primary and secondary schools across Moray. • To support the work of colleague(s) in the EAL Service, provide a direct specialist teaching element at the children’s base schools, to offer appropriate support and advice to class teachers and parents within the context of the Council policies, national guidelines and the requirements of legislation. • To lead the Service in terms of Quality Assurance practice and related developments. • To give reasoned advice and guidance to Education on matters related to EAL. Contribute to the development of the Central Inclusion Service.The Individual
This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
A relocation package of £5400 (exclusive of VAT) may be available for this post
