Salary: £63,430.25

36.25 hours per week (pro rata)

£33.65 per hour

Location: Buckie Harbour/Elgin HQ

 

Moray Council are seeking to recruit a Service Manager - Harbours to manage the Council’s harbours. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitable experienced and qualified individual to maximise opportunities for future development in our harbours.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

• Overseeing the management and operations of Moray Council leisure and commercial harbours.

• Taking a lead role in the development and marketing of the expansion and use of harbours, maximising their potential growth for new industries.

• Developing relationships with existing and potential customers and other agencies in order to maximise the potential for economic growth in and around the harbours.

• Liaising with harbour users and local communities to ensure that the harbours are responsive to users’ needs.

 

The successful candidate will have experience in harbour operations and hold a relevant qualification in a related discipline. You will have a knowledge of emerging industries that could be attracted to the harbours. You should also have a knowledge of port related health and safety requirements, excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills together with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and demonstrate a customer focused approach.
