Are you prepared to advance your career and create a positive impact in Moray? Moray Council is looking for a motivated Service Manager Planning & Building Standards to become part of our Economy, Enterprise & Operations team.
This exciting leadership role is at the heart of delivering core service and driving improvement. As a Service Manager, you’ll be a subject matter expert, collaborating with the Extended Corporate Leadership Team to champion performance, innovation, and value for customers and service users. You’ll design progressive services informed by customer insight, deploy resources for outstanding results, and nurture a high-performance culture across the council.
Your remit includes leading the Development Management and Building Standards functions, ensuring statutory compliance, engaging with public and private sector partners, and supporting community planning and budgetary stewardship. You’ll provide expert advice to the Council, staff, and the public, facilitating development and infrastructure in alignment with the Local Development Plan and Moray Economic Strategy. You will also champion prevention agendas with Community Planning Partners and ensure the Planning and Building Standards Operating and Performance Frameworks for Verifiers are complied with.
