Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct support to individuals with complex needs, including autism and behaviours that cause concern.
  • Enable participation in community activities to promote independence and social inclusion.
  • Support health-related needs, including administering medication and personal care.
  • Maintain safe and clean living environments and assist with daily living tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to deliver quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, including trauma-informed practice and physical intervention techniques.

 

The Individual

What We’re Looking For

  • Compassion, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good practical and observational skills.
  • Willingness to undertake SVQ Level 2, register with the SSSC and hold a PVG membership.
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations and reflect on practice.
    (Previous experience in social care is desirable but not essential - we’ll provide full training.)
