Job Description
To coordinate and support an essential community-based services that assists patients transitioning home from hospital or other healthcare services, reducing avoidable hospital readmission rates. Enabling people at risk of hospital admittance to remain at home and re connect into their community, promoting independent living through dedicated volunteer support.
Responsibilities
Volunteer support Develop and implement comprehensive volunteer recruitment.
Coordinate volunteer induction, training, and ongoing supervision.
Assess, process, and support people accessing the Reengage Service
Co-ordinate volunteers to support service delivery of Reengage Service Maintain accurate volunteer records and databases.
Participate in team meetings, attend supervision sessions and collate statistics
Work as part of a HSCM multi-disciplinary team across Moray.
Liaise with patients and people referred into service
The Individual
Previous experience of working with volunteers in charities, community groups and/or public services.
Relevant qualification e.g. Higher National Certificate, SVQ level 4, or equivalent, or significant experience in volunteer management, people management, or a related field
Experience in administrative and IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and an ability to maintain records and produce clear written and oral reports.
Willingness to be a supportive team player.
Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, plan and prioritise your workload.
Excellent communication skills, including networking with both internal and external partners.
Understanding of volunteering and what motivates volunteers.
Ability to recruit, supervise and support volunteers.
Appreciation and acceptance of, and commitment to the importance of confidentiality and data protection
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to motivate self and others.
Calm, confident and friendly manner.
Demonstrate respect for other people with different backgrounds and opinions.

You will be expected to travel between various work locations across moray when required to meet operational needs of the service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.
