Job Summary

Temporary for 23 months.

We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting the corporate CRM and digital services on our public website. This is a hybrid working post working from home and our office in Cunninghame House Irvine. You will work in the Development Team who look after North Ayrshire Council’s CRM, in-house developed applications, and online services (including MyNAC). We use technology and design to improve the quality and efficiency of Council services by: Challenging existing business practices Ensuring best practice and continuous improvement Developing innovative digital solutions to meet business and customer needs About you You will have experience building and maintaining web-based applications, contributing to technical projects, and undertaking software development work. You will be a motivated software developer, with a degree in computer science or relevant experience. You will work across the Council to understand its business needs and solve technical challenges using a broad set of tools, such as EM Pro and .NET. You will know how to code (ideally using C# and .NET) and be familiar with using web services and APIs, SQL and JavaScript. You should be familiar with Visual Studio, Git and Office 365. You will have excellent analytical and development skills and will use these to prioritise competing demands and deadlines. You will have a good attention to detail.
