We want to hear from a talented individual with strong leadership skills who has the vision and skills to become the Head of Service for Children, Families & Justice Services. The successful candidate will support the Director of the Health and Social Care Partnership and the Chief Executives of North Ayrshire Council and NHS Ayrshire and Arran to deliver our ambitions for North Ayrshire, including fulfilling our local ambitions in delivery of our Children’s Services Plan and the Promise.

As a Chief Officer, the successful candidate will have a strategic leadership role supporting service transformation and delivering high quality, value for money services in a challenging financial climate.

You will demonstrate extensive experience at a senior management level in a health and/or social care environment and have the ability to create inspiring and innovative solutions.

The post has a challenging remit with responsibilities including looked after children, children with disabilities, crisis intervention services, whole family support, child health services and all justice social work services. This is a challenging role, leading a range of services which, at times, support some of the most vulnerable people and families in our communities, but also a rewarding role with the opportunity to make a real positive difference to outcomes.

As a strategic and inspirational leader, you will deliver a clear sense of purpose and direction and will secure the confidence of the Integration Joint Board, Elected Members, the NHS Board and Council and your Teams. You will do this with the support of the Director and the wider Senior Management Team, working as part of a high performing and supportive team.

You will be able to demonstrate experience in the implementation of change, excellent people management skills, effective partnership working, integrity and sound ethical judgement. You will be enthusiastic about working in partnership with our community partners and stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for people in North Ayrshire.
