North Ayrshire Council is creating temporary positions within our Skills for Life – Clerical programme across Council Services. The programme is funded by Scottish Government and aims to support parents, to gain training, skills and experience within North Ayrshire Council. • These placements will be for 26 weeks placed in one of our participating services within North Ayrshire Council • 20 hours per week • Paid at the Real Living Wage, £12.60 per hour. • Preferred knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office Packages and/or Experience working in an office environment Eligibility To be considered for the post you must be a parent with a dependent child(ren) living with you, a North Ayrshire resident and currently unemployed. Interviews North Ayrshire Council will hold face to face interviews and a time will be allocated, after you have successfully completed the application form and meet the eligibility criteria. All successful applicants will be invited to interview on 2nd July 2025 Registration As part of the Skills for Life programme, you will be registered with We Work for Families Project, to ensure you meet the eligibility criteria prior to employment, in which you will be asked to provide ID and meet with support services. Pre-Employment Training Successful candidates are required to participate in Pre-Employment Training. This will be between 25th August to 20th September 2025 and be for 3 x days per week 10am to 2pm. This training will cover Excel, Microsoft Office and Keyboard Skills. This is mandatory training. Additional Information Preferred knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Packages During the 26-week placement you will be studying towards SVQ2 Business Administration Anticipated start date of 26-week paid placement on or around 23rd September 2025 Registration will include; • Registration Form • NAC Resourcing ID paperwork In Work Support: • Mentor and In-Work Support throughout the 26 weeks placement ID Requirements When attending the interview, under Asylum & immigration Act, you will be required to provide ID documentation. We would require Passport or full birth certificate along with proof of N.I. Number for Asylum ID. Two documents as evidence of proof of address will be required
