Interviews -
Applicants MUST attend one of the Information Sessions below to be given an interview slot. Tuesday 5th May, 10am, Volunteer Rooms, Irvine Wednesday 6th May, 10am, Saltcoats Town Hall North Ayrshire Council’s Skills for Life programme is funded by Scottish Government and aims to support parents to gain training, skills and experience. These Education Business Assistant posts are based in various North Ayrshire school offices. The Skills for Life programme offers: 26 week, term-time, mentored placement ·20 hours per week - Mon-Fri, 10am-2pm. Paid at the RLW, £13.52 ph. Eligibility To be considered for the post you must be an unemployed parent living in North Ayrshire, with a dependent child(ren) living with you. You will not be eligible if you have participated in this programme, PEP or Step Into previously.

Interviews will be held at the Parent Hub in Ardrossan on Tuesday 19th May & Wednesday 20th May. Interview slots will be allocated at the Information Sessions listed above. Registration to participate in the Skills for Life programme, you must be registered with the We Work for Families project. This ensures you meet the eligibility criteria prior to employment and have the relevant ID required for the post.

Pre-employment Training – Digital Skills Successful candidates are required to participate in Pre-employment Digital Skills Training. You must be available 26th May until 25th June. The classes will be at Ayrshire College, Kilwinning Campus on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10am-2pm. The Digital Skills training will include PC Passport, Microsoft Sway, Forms, and Teams. Internet Safety, Data Security and SharePoint will also be included. Disclosures If a PVG is required for this post, successful applicants will complete a Disclosure Scotland application and be approved before starting in placement. ID Requirements- Passport and 2 official letters with your current address
