An opportunity has arisen within the Service Access Team based in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire, for a part-time (job share) Social Work Assistant. The successful candidate will become part of an exciting fast paced team carrying out comprehensive initial assessments for people across all age groups within the Garnock Valley and North Coast areas who are not already involved with social work. This is an early intervention team, who work on a duty basis, listening to and supporting people in order to assess their needs and signpost to the most appropriate resources within the community/family and statutory services. The successful candidate should be able to quickly build relationships to engage with service users and will work on a whole family approach with an ethos of strength based practice. They will work alongside another Social Work Assistant and Social Workers and be supported by the Team Manager. The working hours will be Monday, Tuesday Wednesday one week and Thursday and Friday the following week fulfilling 35 hours fortnightly. The interviews for this post will take place on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd July.
