Job Summary

Post: Assistant Physical Activity Consultant - Permanent

Rate of Pay: £12.00 per hour

This is a trainee post in which the successful candidate will undertake programme of Continued Professional Development to complete a level 3 Physical Activity on Referral Qualification. On completion the post will be upgraded to Physical Activity Consultant (AP1 £24,454 - £25,801)

Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week

Location: Post will cover various locations across North Ayrshire

Role Summary:

  • To proactively promote and deliver within the Health & Wellbeing Service and all related projects delivered by the Active Lifestyles Team.
  • Delivery of health checks and healthy lifestyle advice within local communities, referring to partner agencies where appropriate.
  • Delivery of consultations and safe and effective exercise prescription for participants referred into the Active North Ayrshire Physical Activity on Referral Programme.
  • Maintain databases and records within the Physical Activity programme ensuring compliance with confidentiality and access.

You Must Have:

  • Qualification in physical activity, health, wellbeing or fitness (HND / CIMSPA Level2 Gym / fitness Instructor).
  • Full Drivers Licence is desirable.
