£20.10 per Hour - Level 2 SSTQ

Location: Garnock Community Campus - Beith Road, Glengarnock, KA14 3BJ

Role Summary: The Swimming Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children and adults, fostering skill development, confidence, and water safety. The post holder ensures all sessions are safe, structured, and enjoyable, while maintaining accurate records, supporting the Learn to Swim programme, and contributing to the smooth operation and promotion of KA Leisure’s aquatics services.

You must have:

• Current teaching/coaching certificate as approved by the relevant Governing Body of Sport

Please note that interviews will include a practical teaching assessment

Shifts: 

Two positions are available:

Position 1 - Monday (15:30-18:30) & Wednesday (15:30-19:00)

Position 2 - Thursday (15:30-19:00 & Friday (15:30-18:30)

Where work is considered regulated work with children and/or protected adults, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and/or protected adults. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by KA Leisure.

Please note: Successful candidates will meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 for scheme membership and £18 for scheme member update); this will be deducted from wages following commencement of employment with the Company
