Job Summary
Temporary for 12 months.
We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

As part of North Ayrshire Council’s Modern Apprentice Recruitment Process if, following interview, you are chosen as a Preferred Candidate, you must complete a 1-week pre-employment Course with one of our Employability Partners, before being issued with a Conditional Offer of Employment. The qualification to be achieved on completion of the Modern Apprenticeship is SCQF 6. Modern Apprenticeship posts are open to all North Ayrshire Residents aged 16-19yrs old at commencement of employment

PVG (Adults)
This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by North Ayrshire Council. When shortleeting job applicants seeking a Modern Apprenticeship with the Council, subject to meeting the essential criteria, priority in the 1st instance will be given to those who are currently unemployed followed by applicants who are already in work & who are seeking to develop their career.
