An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Assistant who will implement, organise, and maintain a wide range of administrative controls and systems for a variety of internal and external information to support the delivery of North Lanarkshire Council’s Local Development Programme within our Community Partnership Team. The jobholder will support and engage with the lead officers and external organisations to successfully administer and deliver key elements of the project. This will involve, liaising with individuals, community partners and suppliers. As well as recording and monitoring important information needed for reporting and evaluation purposes. The postholder, will also be involved in the delivery of a various community engagement events, and support the ongoing delivery of the Local Development Programme.

An HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent qualification in an appropriate subject is desirable, you will have extended work experience that is relevant to demonstrate the critical elements of the job description.

You must have experience of working in a project environment, organising meetings and events and an understanding of partnership working, particularly with local communities and community and voluntary organisations.

Experience of providing administrative support to others and knowledge of the use of social media to promote project delivery work is advantageous.

To succeed in this role, you must able to adapt to the dynamic working environment and be confident to work independently and engage with community organisations. You must be a clear verbal and written communicator and can work to agreed deadlines. You will also have experience in working with financial information and payment processing and with engaging directly with the public in a positive way.

This post is temporary until 30/11/2026.

Work Pattern:

Based in the Civic Centre in Motherwell 50% of the time and home working 50% of the time.
