Early Years Support Worker

21 hours per week, Term Time

Temporary to 2 July 2026

£29,148 - £29,732 / £30,389 - £31,009 pro-rata

£15.97 - £16.29 / £16.65 - £16.99 per hour

The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance

We are seeking a suitable candidate to join our dedicated team of staff in the Strynd Nursery.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience of working with young children in a structured context. This post is rewarding and requires an energetic, thoughtful person, who can work as part of our team in a caring, learning environment.

For appointment at D:

You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy AND successfully complete a relevant qualification to allow registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker (Day Care of Children) within 3 years of taking up the post.

For appointment at E:

You should hold a recognised qualification that enables registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker (Day Care of Children) e.g. NC in Early Education and Child Care, SVQ Level 2. You are required to register with the SSSC as a Support Worker (Day Care of Children) within 3 months of appointment.

This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
