You will be reporting to the Curriculum Leader, Nature based learning.
Your working pattern will be all day Thursday and Friday. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.
The purpose of this role is facilitating learning and teaching, planning and preparing the learning experience, maintaining quality and standards, providing academic guidance and support and undertaking professional practice and development.
The successful applicant will lead on qualifications to meet the needs of the land based students including Modern Apprenticeships in Agriculture, NQ Agriculture, NC Rural Skills SCFQ4 while helping the curriculum leader to develop other courses.
Applicants should hold an SVQ, HND or other SCQF level 8 qualification in an area relevant to the curriculum remit OR have at least five years previous relevant experience in land based industries. We are interested in considering potential applicants with subject experience in land based industries.
The successful candidate will hold a Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE) or other recognised equivalent lecturing/ teaching qualification at SCQF level 9, recognised by General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS) for the purpose of registration, or be willing to achieve this within 3 years.
You must hold registration as a College Lecturer with GTCS, either Full or Provisional (Conditional) in line with NJNC Circular STL 02/24, or be willing to achieve this within an agreed timescale.
This post is a regulated role with children and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
