Hours are offered on an as and when required basis

£16.65 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

You will be reporting to the Occupational Therapy Lead.

The purpose of this role is to support people to live independently by ensuring the safe delivery, installation, maintenance, and collection of essential equipment across Orkney.

Key Responsibilities will include delivering, installing, and collecting community equipment in service users’ homes. You will carry out routine maintenance, safety checks, and minor repairs, and ensure that equipment is clean, safe, and fit for purpose. You'll also be required to maintain accurate records using digital systems.
The post involves working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and other health and care professionals.

Applicants must have an SVQ2 or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject, possess excellent communication skills and have at least 1 years’ previous relevant experience in working with older people or those with disabilities.

You should hold a Full UK Driving Licence to drive medium and long wheelbase van.

This post is a regulated role with adults and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
