Where successful you may be offered work by the Council at its discretion, but there will be no obligation on the Council to offer work or for you to accept it on any particular occasion.

The purpose of this role is to provide person centred care to individuals to enable them to live as independently as possible, in line with the principles of the Health and Social Care Standards and the Scottish Social Services Council Codes of Practice and local and national policies in relation to the protection of vulnerable adults.

At the Glaitness Centre, we support people to live as independently as possible in their own homes while being part of a warm and welcoming community. As a Social Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting tenants with daily living, wellbeing and maintaining the routines and independence that matter most to them. No two days are the same – from supporting with personal care and mobility to sharing a chat, encouraging social connections and helping people stay active and involved in their community.

We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, patient and motivated, with a positive attitude and a natural ability to build trusting relationships. You’ll need to be a good team player who can also work independently, use initiative and take pride in providing high-quality, person-centred care.

If you’re someone who wants to feel valued in your work, enjoys supporting others, and is looking to be part of a supportive and friendly team where you can grow and develop, then this might be the right post for you.
