Westray Junior High School is seeking a teacher of English and History. This is an exciting and rewarding position in a small, friendly island community school catering for pupils aged from 3 to 16 years.

This post forms part of the Secondary School with pupils in classes S1 to S4, and requires an enthusiastic, flexible, independent person who would enjoy being a part of the dynamic island community of Westray.

The successful candidate will be able to build up excellent relationships with both pupils and staff, in a school and community where the work of the school is valued.

Applicants must be registered, or in the process of registering, with the General Teaching Council for Scotland for secondary teaching either English or History.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.

Salary will be based on the SNCT Salary Tables plus a Remote Islands Allowance. We offer a generous relocation package.
