Teacher of Modern Languages (French and/or Spanish)

31.5 hours per week (0.9 FTE)

KGS is a modern, vibrant school of around 850 pupils with a catchment area which covers Kirkwall, the East Mainland, Orphir and the North and South Isles. You will be joining departments and other teams of staff who are dedicated to providing the best for all young people.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who is committed to improvement and excellence. You will be able to build positive relationships with young people and support them effectively to make progress and achieve their potential.

Modern Foreign Languages are taught from the Broad General Education through to Advanced Higher level. You will be able to teach at least one of French/Spanish; ability to teach both will be an advantage.

You must hold at least provisional registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.

This post is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.

Salary will be based on the Main Grade Scale of the SNCT Salary Tables plus a Distant Islands Allowance. We offer a generous relocation package.
