Vocational Instructor

14 hours per week
Temporary up to 4 July 2025
£35,955 - £39,295 pro rata / £19.70 - £21.53 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

UHI Orkney is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our pro-active team. You will be instructing inclusive practice students at various levels, assist with appropriate methods of assessment on our Outreach programme.

Applicants must be educated to at least HNC/SVQ3, or an equivalent SCQF level 6 qualification, in a relevant subject area, and have recent experience of instructing others within the relevant curriculum area. Up-to-date inclusive practice experience and knowledge of good educational practice are also required.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults and children.
