An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Assistant Services Technician within the Energy and Engineering Team of Property Services.
The role has been created to allow the council to continue with improvement works throughout its estate portfolio whilst also undertaking all statutory works associated with this.
The role will require the use of computer aided design and simulation packages to assist with the co-ordination and delivery of multi-disciplinary and energy efficiency projects within the council’s operational buildings.
The works are anticipated to be carried out during normal working hours; however, there may be instances when the post holder will be required to work out with these hours to minimise disruption to services.
There is also an expectation that you will work on other Electrical, Mechanical and Energy related Infrastructure projects such as replacement heating and ventilation systems, BMS upgrades/new electrical systems including, distribution systems, small power installations, fire alarm, intruder alarms, lighting and associated controls.
An additional part of the role will be the requirement to meet future energy savings targets and incorporate new and low carbon technologies into all designs and proposals providing a cost-effective energy efficient solution.
Training and development opportunities will also be made available to the successful applicant as part of the role.

Requirements
We are looking for an individual who has knowledge in the use of design and simulation packages such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Relux, Amtech/STABICAD, IES VE, Hevacomp and Siemens Desigo.
To undertake the role we require you to be a team player with excellent planning and organisational skills along with the ability to complete and implement project tasks within target deadlines.
You must be capable of working with experienced engineers to assist with innovative design solutions and provide technical support.
You must also be self-motivated and confident with excellent communication skills to establish good working relationships. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team of Property Professionals you will engage effectively with a wide and diverse audience including technical and non-technical staff.
You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
