Main Purpose of the Role

Working within Perth & Kinross Council is more than a job, it's about being part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of all we do and provides opportunities to make a real difference by enhancing every life we touch.

We currently have the following opportunity:

Business Assistant (Fixed Term until 30 January 2027) - PKC13953
£23,130 - £24,368 (Term-time only)
Bertha Park High School, Perth

A temporary opportunity covering maternity leave has arisen for a Business Assistant to join our team at Bertha Park High School.

You will be working in the school office as part of a team providing an administrative service to staff, young people and families, as well as the wider school community.

You will be required to carry out a varied range of clerical tasks to support business operations and display good ICT skills and knowledge of Microsoft 365.

There is also an opportunity for an additional 11 hours per week up to 29 January 2027.  This is subject to further approval later in the year.

Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.

Skills & Experience Required

Everyone on the team will need to work together and be ready to do whatever it takes to provide the experiences our young people deserve.

It is an essential part of this role to have experience of working within a busy environment and prioritise tasks accordingly.

You must be able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents as well as external agencies.

There are many online systems and packages that we use in the office and full training will be given on these, so you must be willing to learn.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who will be willing to embrace school life, keen to develop their knowledge and skills and work well as part of a wider school team.

Working at Perth & Kinross Council

Our values and behaviours influence our work and support us in the delivery of our key priorities. In your application, and should you be invited to interview, you will be asked to describe situations that support the criteria required in the role and which also demonstrate our values and behaviours.
