Perth Grammar School is seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Assistant to join our busy and friendly school office team. This role is vital in supporting the delivery of an efficient administrative and reception service, contributing to a welcoming, professional environment for pupils, staff, parents, and visitors.
You will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the school office, providing administrative support and ensuring effective communication across the school and with external partners.
You will provide the following support;
- Provide front-line reception and customer service, handling face-to-face and telephone enquiries
- Deliver high-quality administrative support across various school teams
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and electronic data systems
- Support school processes including attendance, correspondence, and communications
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of letters, reports, and school materials
- Help coordinate school activities such as events, parent evenings, and meetings
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and general office duties
- Undertake financial administration tasks, including the use of finance systems
- Ensure effective use of IT systems and school software
- Be part of the first aid team (training will be provided)
You will be approachable, reliable, and enthusiastic, with a strong commitment to supporting the smooth running of the school. A customer-focused attitude and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and visitors are essential.
