Perth High School

We have a vacancy for a Business Assistant at Perth High School.

Perth High School is a large comprehensive, drawing pupils from a mix of Perth City and rural Perthshire.

Working as part of our Business Support team, you will work in the office providing whole school administrative support.

Skills & Experience Required

There is an expectation that shortlisted applicants will meet the requirements below.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Reception skills experience.
  • ICT experience in use of Microsoft Office packages.
  • A good standard of education.

Customer Care

  • Experience of working with the public and excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate you can work both individually and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to deal with challenging situations in a sensitive manner.

Health & Safety

  • Have an awareness of basic Health and Safety issues.
  • Provide Emergency First Aid support (training will be provided).
  • Required to administer first aid (training will be provided).

Equality & Dignity at Work

  • Ability to treat pupils, colleagues, parents and customers/clients in accordance with the Council’s policies on equalities and dignity at work.

Communications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Flexibility

  • You will perform all aspects of the Business Assistant role.
  • Ideally you will be willing to be involved in school community life and school events/projects.

Team Working

  • Ability to work as part of a team, taking direction and working on own initiative.
  • Ability to adapt to change.

Decision Making & Problem Solving

  • Ability to implement policies and procedures.
  • Experience of solution focussed situations.

Any Additional Requirements

  • Good personal presentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
