We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and reflective teacher who is committed to achieving the very best outcomes for all children.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold GTCS registration (or be eligible for registration).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Curriculum for Excellence and effective pedagical approaches.
- Have experience of planning, delivering and assessing high-quality learning and teaching across a range of curricular areas.
- Show a commitment to raising attainment and achievement for all learners through high expectations, effective differentiation and robust assessment practices.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Have a sound understanding of inclusive practice and experience of supporting children with additional support needs.
- Use data and professional judgement effectively to inform planning and improve outcomes for learners.
- Be an effective communicator who can build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, colleagues and partners.
- Demonstrate flexibility, resilience and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Be committed to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
The ideal candidate will also:
- Have experience of teaching within a multi-stage or composite class setting.
- Demonstrate an understanding of nurture approaches and trauma-informed practice.
- Have experience of leading or contributing to school improvement initiatives.
- Show a commitment to developing pupil leadership, voice and participation.
- Have experience of interdisciplinary learning, outdoor learning and digital learning.
- Be confident in working collaboratively as part of a small, supportive staff team.
- Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm and innovation in learning and teaching.
- Have experience of working in partnership with community organisations and external agencies to enhance learning opportunities.
- Contribute positively to the strong community ethos of Blackford Primary School.
