Riverside Primary School, Perth
We are looking to appoint a full time nurturing and committed class teacher, within our Intensive Support Provision from August 2026.
The main purpose of the role is to provide all aspects of learning, teaching and care to a small group of pupils will severe and complex needs, including Autism, ADHD and sensory processing difficulties.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place at the school on the week beginning 22 June 2026.

Skills & Experience Required
You will have the ability to adapt your teaching to suit the range of needs within the provision and be able to deliver a curriculum which supports pupils to engage and interact using a range of communication methods.
Experience of working with children who use a range of augmentative communication would be an advantage, but not essential.
We are are looking for someone who loves team work and is able to adapt their skills and work in a busy environment, where every individual is supported to reach their full potential.
You will:
- Have experience of learning and teaching , ideally within an ASN environment
- Have experience of preparing and delivering differentiated work.
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge of relevant current curriculum developments including a Curriculum for Excellence, Assessment is for Learning, SCERTS and their bearing on classroom practice 3-18.
- Be able to use ICT in relation to learning, teaching and classroom management.
- Be able to apply a variety of teaching strategies in order to meet wide range of needs of all learners.
- Have knowledge and experience of the application of positive behaviour management strategies.
