The purpose of this role is to support the effective delivery of commissioning, procurement, and contract management activities across the organisation.

Working under supervision, the Modern Apprentice appointed will develop practical skills and knowledge in commissioning processes, contractual compliance, performance monitoring, and supplier engagement.

The successful postholder will contribute to ensuring that services are high quality, cost effective, meet local need, and comply with organisational policies, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.

As part of your apprenticeship, you will undertake learning while gaining hands on experience in a professional environment.

Skills & Experience Required

  • You must hold minimum qualifications of National 4/Intermediate 1 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Good listening skills and willingness to ask questions.
  • Able to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritise workload.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Basic ability to analyse information and present it clearly.
  • Curious about how organisations purchase services and monitor performance.
