We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Childhood Practitioner to join our nursery team on a permanent basis. Milnathort nursery provides a welcoming environment and makes excellent use of its outdoor learning spaces.

As a Early Childhood Practitioner, you will be responsible for the care and learning of a group of children with focus on learning through play.

This role requires the successful candidate to be able to plan opportunities taking account of learners interests and assess progress.

Skills & Experience Required

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Practitioner with relevant nursery experience and a passion for getting it right for every child.

You will be able to think on your feet and thrive in a varied role, supporting a happy and busy nursery where children's needs always come first.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is fun, caring, committed and dedicated, with a positive approach to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.

Working as part of a large team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues while also being confident using your own initiative when required.

For the role of Early Childhood Practitioner, you should hold an appropriate qualification, such as SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, an SCQF Level 7 equivalent qualification, SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education, or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People).

You must also be eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
