Oakbank Primary School

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Oakbank Primary School & Nursery. This is an exciting time for early learning and childcare, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible person who would enjoy being part of a large team to help deliver flexible, high-quality care, meeting the needs of all children aged 2 to 5 years.

This post is fixed-term until the end of June 2025, working 36 hours per week on our 45 weeks model. This includes working the first week in the school Easter & October holidays and the first 3 weeks of the school summer holidays.

We are looking to appoint a nurturing, innovative and committed ECP to join our welcoming team.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team at Oakbank who are committed to providing an excellent education for all young people and promote an ethos of inclusion.

Skills & Experience Required

The individual appointed will be able to listen to, and be responsive to, learner needs demonstrating the skills, qualities and enthusiasm to further develop and build on the existing high standards of learner experiences within our centre.

The successful candidate will be committed to continually enhancing knowledge and skills through working collegiately and through CPD.

The ability to work well as part of team is essential.

You should hold an appropriate qualification e.g. SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF level 7 equivalent or SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People), as well as have the eligibility to register with SSSC.
