Early Learning & Childcare Support Worker - PKC12259
£9,065 - £9,472 (16 Hours per week, Term-time only)
Letham Early Years and Childcare Centre, Perth

Letham Early Years and Childcare Centre are looking for a support worker to join our large, friendly team.  

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to step into the profession and progress a career in childcare, gaining experience while being supported to gain a childcare qualification. 

You will work as an effective member of the early learning and childcare team, supporting the delivery of a high-quality service which promotes the development of children and contributes to a positive ethos.

You will assist in the delivery of a nurturing and calm snack and lunchtime experience.  

The role would suit an individual with a genuine interest in the children and their wellbeing, with important qualities of kindness, sensitivity, respectfulness, and good manners and to respect confidentiality at all times. 

Our aim is to provide high quality child-centred Early Learning and Childcare (aged 2-12 years) which reflects and responds to individual needs and identity.  

Requirements

No entry qualifications are required, however you will be required and supported to work towards a recognised qualification listed by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for Day Care of Children within 3 months of commencing employment and responsible for maintaining annual membership.  

The successful candidate will be supported to access further training both award bearing and continued professional development. 

The Individual

You will be expected to work closely with the early year colleagues and work as a member of a large team contributing to children's learning and development within a safe and inclusive environment. 

We are looking for an individual who has a genuine interest and commitment to working with children in a professional capacity within early learning and childcare environment.
